A prestigious Oxford-based College is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Human Resources to lead and shape its HR function. This newly created, senior leadership position offers a rare opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, oversee a skilled HR team, and influence the people agenda across a diverse workforce.Key Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and manage an HR team delivering services across academic and non-academic areas.Advise senior leadership on all HR matters, including recruitment, retention, employee relations, and reward strategies.Implement a modern, solution-focused HR strategy that supports organisational goals.Oversee complex ER casework, employment policy development, and legal compliance.Champion initiatives promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture and continuous improvement.Act as a key advisor and secretary to the institution s HR Committee. About You: Proven strategic HR leadership experience, ideally within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.Exceptional knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and driving organisational change.Strong data-driven decision-making abilities and HR project management skills.Degree-educated, with Chartered or Fellow CIPD membership.Experience in higher education is advantageous.
