We are recruiting for experienced Head of Service (Housing). This is a critical leadership role overseeing the strategic and operational management of all housing services - including Housing Needs and Homelessness, Tenancy Services and Rent, and Private Sector Housing. You will be a key member of the Operational Management Board, providing high-level input into corporate strategy while ensuring housing services deliver outstanding outcomes for residents. The role includes a commitment to on-call duties approximately 4-5 weeks per year, including cover during holiday periods. You will be required to be on site minimum 2 x a week. The Role Lead and continuously improve the delivery of Housing Management services, ensuring they are responsive, efficient, and meet statutory obligations. Oversee services including homelessness prevention, housing advice, tenancy and rent services, and private sector housing regulation. Drive service-wide performance and customer satisfaction, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Use data and performance analytics to shape policy and improve service delivery, ensuring services are evidence-led and outcome-focused. Act as a strategic lead on housing issues across the organisation, contributing to wider corporate goals and working closely with political and executive leadership.
