Our client, a prominent organisation within the public sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead their financial governance and support strategic decision-making. This pivotal role will enhance the Constabulary''s financial capabilities while ensuring financial sustainability and value for money across the policing estate. Key Responsibilities: Budget Setting and Financial Planning:- Lead the development and maintenance of the annual budget and Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP), ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.- Oversee revenue and capital budgets for the Force and OPCC, supporting statutory requirements such as precept setting.- Consolidate and report annual budgets to senior stakeholders, including the Chief Officer Group and OPCC. Budget Monitoring and Reporting:- Manage monthly financial reporting and forecasting, explaining variances, risks, and opportunities.- Prepare executive dashboards and management information packs for senior leadership.- ..... full job details .....
