We are seeking a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead an engineering team based in Wirral. This pivotal role involves driving continuous improvement strategies, overseeing morning and evening maintenance operations, and spearheading essential process updates. The successful candidate will also manage engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the engineering department to achieve operational goals and uphold high-quality standards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes and maintenance activities.
• Oversee and manage both AM and PM maintenance schedules to ensure optimal machinery performance and minimal downtime.
• Develop, update, and implement new engineering and maintenance processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the engineering function.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an engineering leadership role with responsibility for continuous improvement and maintenance management.
• Strong project management skills with demonstrable success in delivering complex projects on time and budget.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering processes, maintenance planning, and best practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Familiarity with health & safety standards and compliance requirements.
