Role OverviewOur public sector client seeks a Head of Data Science and AI to lead a team of data scientists. Responsibilities include building team capabilities, setting objectives, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Skills and Experience

Expertise in data science and machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning); knowledge of generative AI is desirable.

Strong knowledge of statistics, applied mathematics, and scientific analysis with proven experience in delivering organizational benefits.

Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and handling large datasets.

Experience with Machine Learning Ops and A/B testing.

Understanding of responsible and ethical AI practices.

Skills in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++.

Responsibilities

Delivering efficiency and customer benefits through data science and AI.

Strategizing on the responsible use of data science and AI for automation and insights.

Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize projects.

Operationalizing data science and machine learning solutions.

Leading and developing the data science team, including line management of Principal Data Scientists.
