The

Head of Costing and

Finance Systems

is responsible for Abcam''s inventory accounting and finance systems globally.

This position reports to the Finance Director - Supply Chain and Manufacturing and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

Own Abcam''s inventory accounting globally, ensuring accurate standard costing, variance analysis and monthly reportingEnsure correct financial procedures are maintained and adhered to across inventory, including Sox compliance and audit supportLead a global team of costing accountants and finance systems SMEsCoordinate with Abcam''s supply chain team to promote ongoing improvements in inventory turnover and working capitalPerform analysis to improve gross margin, consider make vs buy and enhance manufacturing productivityManage a pipeline of finance systems enhancements with a small team, coordinating with controllership, Abcam Digital and outsourced providers

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

Qualified accountantSignificant experience in inventory accounting for manufacturing environmentLeadership and team management experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Life sciences industryOracle finance suite
