The Classics Department is a busy and vibrant department which enjoys a variety of specialisms including philosophy, linguistics, history and literature. Pupils are introduced to both Latin and Greek in Year 7 to Year 9, providing linguistic challenge and developing analytical and problem-solving skills. Exploring mythology and studying various key places around the Classical world allows our pupils to go beyond the languages and understand the people who spoke them. We regularly offer opportunities to further enhance learning and enjoyment of the Classics through trips to national and international sites of interest.
