Role: Hair and Beauty TeacherLocation: Barnet Contract: Part time - 3 days a week The Role: The School are seeking a caring, skilled and proactive Hair and Beauty Technician and Hair and Beauty Teacher to support the delivery of their vocational curriculum. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about inspiring young people and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. The School is an alternative education provider for young people with SEMH. the pupils generally struggle to remain in mainstream school, due to poor mental health, critical illnesses and social and emotion challenges, preventing them from accessing the education they deserve.The role will be one day a week every Monday starting from September. They are also opening a new Sixth Form in September.Key Responsibilities:Support teaching staff in delivering practical Hair and Beauty sessionsMaintain equipment and salon standards in a safe, clean, and organised wayEncourage and motivate students with a trauma-informed, patient approachHelp young people develop self-esteem, skills, and creativity through vocational learningProvide one-to-one support where required to ensure all learners can engage fullyWhat We re Looking For:Experience in a salon or hair and beauty education settingA nurturing, resilient personality with a genuine passion for working with vulnerable young peopleUnderstanding of (or willingness to learn about) SEMH and alternative education environmentsA collaborative, ..... full job details .....
