We are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant to make an impact, especially those who thrive on finance change and projects.
Duties
Manage the group revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes, including IFRS 15 application, billing, collections, and collaboration with Sales and Legal teams on customer contracts.
Become the subject matter expert for the revenue/billing module within Workday ERP, ensuring data integrity and generating analytical insights.
Own the month-end close process related to revenue, including IFRS accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Assist in preparing management and statutory accounts across the group.
Provide high-quality technical accounting and financial analysis as needed.
Enhance transactional and reporting processes and controls for efficiency.
Assess impacts of changes to accounting standards and reporting practices on the business.
Ensure VAT returns are accurately prepared and submitted timely, working with external tax advisors.
Perform other ad hoc tasks to support the finance team.
RequirementsEssential
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) with at least three years post-qualification experience in IFRS implementation for a sizable group.
Strong audit and/or industry background with solid understanding of financial controls and best practices.
Experience in process improvements for scalable reporting.
Highly driven, self-starting, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical accounting principles to both finance and non-finance teams.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivots, SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH).
Desirable
Experience working within a group environment.
Experience in the software industry or fintech startups.
Proficiency in Workday systems is an advantage.
