Join Secret Escapes as our next Group Accountant (60% FTE) and play a key role in powering the engine room of our global finance team. Based in London and offered on a Fixed Term Contract until 30th January 2026, this broad and varied role sits at the heart of our Accounting and Control function. You''ll be instrumental in driving month end reporting and financial control across our international operations. We offer flexibility in your working days and hours, but you''ll need to be available on working days 6, 8, and 9 to ensure critical month end deliverables are met.Please note - this is a part time role (0.6 FTE) and is a FTC up until end of January 2026. Expect spontaneous trivia, top tier office snacks, and a flexible working culture that reflects our modern approach to finance.In this role, you''ll be a key support to both the Finance team and the wider business - contributing to Group accounting processes and ensuring effective management of our Group accounting system, NetSuite.The role and things you’ll be working on

As Group Accountant, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the Secret Escapes Group. Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the Group statutory audit, including active involvement in the consolidation processAssisting with year end accounts and audits for Group subsidiariesOwning and managing key Group wide processes, including intercompany recharges and reconciliations, lease accounting, and intangible asset reportingContributing to the month end close, with responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly management accountsPreparing information for subsidiary VAT returns and ensuring compliance across jurisdictionsProviding ad hoc financial analysis and supporting projects that drive improvement and insight across the finance functionYou will bringA solid academic background and strong technical knowledge of IFRSProven experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting auditsFamiliarity with foreign entities and multi currency group consolidationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and effectively to colleagues at all levels and external partnersAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the confidence to work efficiently with large data sets and complex modelsAnd you are..Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)Someone who is keen to have real ownership within a businessA technically confident team player with excellent communication skillsA self-starter who can deliver high quality outputs independentlyPragmatic and commercially aware, with excellent attention to detailWe are an equal opportunity employerDiversity and inclusion are important to us at Secret Escapes and we encourage a culture where everyone can be themselves at work.
