Our goal is to become the staffing and services company others aspire to be.About the RoleThe Group Accountant will contribute towards the preparation and submission of the statutory accounts for all 20+ entities across multiple jurisdictions within EMEA whilst facilitating the interim and year-end audits. The Group Accountant will also support the month-end process to ensure that we report to our U.S counterparts accurately and within the designated timeframes. The successful candidate will be a professional with an incredible attitude to learning and personal development and has a proven record being ambitious and proactive.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with the various departments, for the external audit. Provide the auditors any deliverables required for them to complete their audit fieldwork and if recommendations are made, incorporate these into the day-to-day activities of the management accountantsPrepare and submit FRS101 financial statements for all the UK entities within the filing deadlines, including assisting with the Group consolidated financial statements.Liaise with external accountants to ensure all non-UK financial statements submission deadlines are met and within their local GAAP requirementsReview the monthly intercompany differences and revenue/expense eliminations checks.Supporting our US counterparts with annual audit related financials.Calculate and post the quarterly interest on intercompany balancesSupport the bid team with any requests that they have in relation to bids as well as creating and maintaining the share pointLiaise with the Sustainability Reporting Specialist to assist with financials for sustainability reporting, such as SECR.Maintaining thresholds checklist for all financial reporting.Ad hoc financial analysis and investigative tasksCarrying out of such ad-hoc tasks as required by the Group Statutory Reporting Manager and/or Financial Controller/DirectorQualificationsPart Qualified (finalist) with ACCA / ACA / CIMARequired SkillsKnowledge of external audit / experience in audit within Practice is desirableFully PC literate with the ability to use the MS suiteAptitude for continual learning and development with different systems, applications and multiple software packagesAbility to use IT packages, mainly Excel to analyse and manipulate dataPrevious recruitment or similar industry background is desirablePrevious experience of FCCS (Financial consolidation and close) is desirableExperience of multi-currencyKnowledge of IFRS and UK GAAPRequired BehaviorsHighly organised, attentive and solution orientatedHigh level of attention to detailActive listening skills and strong communication skillsAbility to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlinesProcess drivenHigh level of numeric and analytic abilityCapable of working competently with diverse groups of people, data and processes accommodating an everchanging environment.Confidently interfaces with all levels of staff internally and externallyPersonally accountableContinuous learner, seeks growth and improvementHigh character and work ethic and is a role model for othersSeniority level
