Groundsperson (Temporary Contract) Location: Vincent Square, LondonContract: Temporary - Full Time (40 hours per week)Start Date: October 2025 About the Role Our client is seeking a temporary Groundsperson to join their dedicated team maintaining a prestigious 10-acre playing field at Vincent Square - the largest square in Central London.The site features cricket and football pitches, tennis courts (both tarmac and artificial grass), and an activity area used by younger pupils. Under the supervision of the Head Groundsperson, you will help ensure that all playing surfaces and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standards.This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone who enjoys outdoor work, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in creating safe, high-quality sports and recreation spaces. Key Responsibilities As part of the grounds team, your duties will include: Performing general grounds maintenance: mowing, strimming, hedge trimming, and weeding. Marking and overmarking sports areas such as football pitches, cricket squares, and athletics tracks. Maintaining both natural and artificial playing surfaces. Carrying out horticultural tasks including ground preparation, turfing, seeding, and pruning. Setting up and dismantling sports equipment, ensuring it is maintained to a high standard.
