Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for Grounds Maintenance Operative To work as part of a team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across multiple school locations. Hourly Rate: 13.45Working Hours:Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00 (30-minute unpaid break)Friday: 07:00 - 15:00 (30-minute unpaid break)Start Date: As soon as possibleLocation: Inverkeithing, KY11Vetting/Clearance: PVG clearance required Key Responsibilities Based primarily out of the Polmadie depot in Glasgow, the role involves working within a mobile grounds maintenance team. Duties include, but are not limited to:General grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and clearing leaves and litterErecting and dismantling equipmentHorticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, and seedingSetting out and maintaining sports pitches (grass and tarmac surfaces)Upkeep of artificial and synthetic pitchesTree care activitiesPainting and maintenance of sundry equipmentMinor civil works, including repairs to slabs, kerbs, manholes, and surfacesOperation of light plant and powered toolsDaily checks of vehicles, tractors, and cutting equipmentSeasonal duties such as gritting and snow clearance (weather dependent) Candidate RequirementsFull UK driving licence (trailer towing experience advantageous)Experience using ride-on mower equipmentBasic knowledge of gardening and horticultural practicesGeneral experience in grounds maintenance operationsCompetence in operating light plant and ..... full job details .....
