Hays are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to assist our client in ensuring the outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. You will be working with Chelmsford and your main responsibilities will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, weeding, and general landscape upkeep. You will have a keen eye for detail, be physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic. If you are passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful, safe outdoor environments, we would love to hear from you.This is a full-time, seasonal position where you will be working 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and this will be for around 8 months.Key responsibilities will include: Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment General maintenance of grounds, e.g. grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, litter, hedge and shrub trimming Use of gardening equipment, powered hand tools and ride on machinery Maintenance of vehicles and gardening machineryKey requirements: Full driving licence Experience of using gardening power tools Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures.
