Grounds Maintenance Operative

The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Crawley. This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm. The pay rate is 12.71 per hour, with an immediate start available. You will work across a range of sites including industrial, commercial, and private estates, maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard. This role involves hands-on garden maintenance work and offers consistent hours within a structured working week. This position is ideal for someone with grounds maintenance experience who enjoys outdoor work and takes pride in maintaining clean, well-presented environments. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out general grounds maintenance across multiple sitesComplete grass cutting, edging, and lawn careUndertake hedge cutting and trimmingCarry out pruning of shrubs and small treesWeed beds, borders, and hard landscaped areasCarry out litter picking and general site tidyingSupport planting of seasonal bedding and shrubsMaintain high presentation standards across all sitesUse horticultural tools and machinery safelyWork as part of a team to complete daily tasks RequirementsPrevious grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferredAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsReliable and punctual approachGood understanding of safe working practicesAbility to work both independently and as part of a team Skills and QualitiesStrong work ethicGood attention to detailPositive and proactive ..... full job details .....
