Grounds Maintenance Operative

Your New Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our SGM Account in Dumfries on a 6-month fixed-term basis. Our Scottish Grounds Maintenance Account works in partnership with other Amey accounts to internally deliver grounds maintenance services. Our primary work stream involves the delivery of grounds maintenance services on behalf of our facility management colleagues in Secure Infrastructure. This work involves all the planned grounds maintenance activities across 70 school sites nationally. These sites are spread over 6 local authority locations, including Borders, Clackmannanshire, Dumfries and Galloway, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Renfrewshire. In addition to planned maintenance, we also deliver winter and responsive works services. The accounts other main activity is to deliver internal vegetation management on behalf of NMCSW and NMCNE highways contracts. Grounds Maintenance Operative plays an important part looking after all aspects of grounds maintenance on 8 of our school sites in DandG. We cover all aspects of grounds maintenance, including amenity areas, natural grass sports pitches, synthetic sports surfaces, woodland, and planted areas. The wide scope of our service and number of tasks involved give this role a nice variety. This is a full time role, the standard hours of work are 37.5 per week.
