Maintenance OperativeLocation: Elephant and Castle, LondonSector: Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA)Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annumAbout the Role We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Operative to join a vibrant Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Elephant and Castle. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an outstanding living experience for residents across a diverse, multi-tenure development.Working closely with the on-site management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, ensuring the building and its facilities are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues across apartments and communal areasCarry out basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair worksSupport end-of-tenancy turnaround processes, including redecorating and repairsConduct regular inspections, building patrols, and health and safety checksComplete mid-term and post-checkout inspections, ensuring timely follow-up actionsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance checksAssist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory testing (e.g. fire alarms, water checks)Support contractor management, ensuring work is completed safely and to standardContribute to the overall upkeep of the estate, including external areasAbout YouAt least 2 years'' experience in general ..... full job details .....
