The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you could support pupils across a range of educational settings, depending on your experience, interests and career plans.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning across lessons and activities
• Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and preparation
• Supporting pupils with additional learning or SEND requirements
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independence
• Helping create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
• Developing an understanding of classroom practice and effective teaching
• Building professional relationships with pupils and education staff

Who We''re Looking For:

You should have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification
• An interest in developing a career within education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
• Patience, reliability and a professional approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
• A willingness to learn and take feedback
• Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
