Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Ealing

A highly regarded secondary school in Ealing is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during term time, offering an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills within a supportive educational environment.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across a range of subjects and year groups. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help create a positive learning environment and contribute to student progress both academically and socially.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support students within lessons, both individually and in small groups.

  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment.

  • Provide additional support to students with varying learning needs.

  • Monitor student engagement and progress.

  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.



Person Specification

  • A degree from a Russell Group university is highly desirable.

  • Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.

  • Professional, proactive, and committed attitude.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
