We''re working with a number of supportive secondary schools across Northampton that are offering Graduate Teacher Training pathways starting ASAP or September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching journey with structured, hands-on classroom experience, ideal for those considering PGCE, SCITT, QTS, or school-based apprenticeship routes.

This is a full-time, paid position designed to give you the essential experience needed to progress into teacher training. You will work closely with experienced teachers, gradually take on classroom responsibilities, and build confidence in a real school environment while developing your teaching skills.

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons under the guidance of teaching staff
• Supporting students across a range of subjects and ability levels
• Providing targeted 1:1 or small group intervention sessions
• Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
• Assisting with lesson planning, resources, and classroom preparation
• Gaining valuable experience to support future teacher training applications

• Graduates from any subject area (English, Maths, Science, Humanities especially desirable)
• Individuals with experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work)
• Confident communicators with a genuine passion for education
• Aspiring teachers looking for practical, school-based experience before formal training
• Reliable, proactive, and professional individuals who want to make a difference
