GRADUATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Are you a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, looking to start your career by joining a Tier 1 contractor? I am working with a civil engineering contractor that is recruiting now, for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work on one of-the largest and most exciting civil engineering projects on the south coast currently.-

This role offers the opportunity-to learn from experienced professionals, develop your commercial skills, and build a strong foundation in Quantity Surveying within a live site environment.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor together with-the site delivery teams, gaining practical experience across the full commercial lifecycle of projects. You will be hands-on, while developing your understanding of NEC4 Option C contract.

As part of the commercial team, you will gain experience in:

• Applications for payment
• Project valuations
• Site measurements
• Change control and compensation events
• Subcontractor payment processes
• Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
• Early warning notices
• Risk register updates
• Commercial reporting / forecasting
• Supporting dispute resolution
• Assisting with final accounts

Role requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence
• A positive attitude to learning
