Our client is a leading specialist contractor operating within the fa-ade and building envelope sector, delivering high-quality cladding, fa-ade remediation, external wall insulation, and fire remediation projects across the UK. Working alongside leading developers, main contractors, housing providers, and public sector organisations, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering technically complex schemes safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
With expertise spanning both new-build and remediation projects, the business continues to experience significant growth, driven by increasing demand across the fa-ade sector. As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Managing the commercial delivery of multiple cladding and fa-ade projects
Preparing and managing applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
Producing accurate CVRs, forecasts, and commercial reports
Monitoring project costs and maximising profitability
Managing contractual obligations under JCT and/or NEC contracts
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
Working closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Supporting junior commercial team members where required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
Previous experience within cladding, fa-ades, building envelope, roofing, or specialist subcontracting would be highly advantageous
Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous
