Global Strategic Insights Director

If so, consider being a key partner in the growth of GSK''s Hepatology Portfolio as Global Strategic Insights (GSI) Director. GSK is seeking an individual with a collaborative mindset to drive strategic insight generation that will define and shape Global Hepatology Strategy in MASH (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis) and ALD (Alcoholic Liver Disease). This role works across assets and lifecycle stages with Brand Insights Directors, Global Product Strategy and a wide, cross-functional group of partners.
Responsibilities
Be a thought-partner and subject matter expert for - MASH/ALD teams
Lead on insight generation to shape key disease areas in hepatology (MASH/ALD) for business governance milestones, ensuring 100% adherence to market research compliance guidelines
Develop robust forecast models ensuring seamless integration of market and customer insights into sound forecasts that contribute to stage gating and investment planning decisions; provide auditable references for sources, assumptions and decisions
Take ownership of the forecast process and deliverables, ensuring the model''s accuracy, development of robust assumptions, alignment with LOC inputs, and adherence to governance timelines
Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams to deliver actionable insights, leveraging market and competitive intelligence to inform and drive strategic decision-making. Partner with Global Competitive Intelligence to monitor external developments and translate into concise recommendations with cross-functional input
Drive pull-through of insights into Global Product Strategy and impact organizational activities based on sound insights
Leverage technology and innovation to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness in insight generation, while maintaining rigor and quality
Generate actionable and concise recommendations from a broad array of databases and solutions to influence GSK Hepatology''s strategic trajectory
Lead multiple workstreams and exert influence within cross-functional matrices
Harness the latest research and analytical methodologies to drive a competitive edge for GSK
Develop deep subject matter expertise across therapeutic areas; track trends, competitive landscapes, and generate long-term strategic outlooks
Deliver well-integrated, actionable insights with strategic application to global strategy, governance, and investment decisions
Manage vendor relationships to ensure excellence in insight generation execution
Leverage a wide range of tools and resources to identify opportunities, assess program potential, and guide optimization of development plans
Continue to build ability to influence planning and activities of cross-functional teams to create alignment and shared responsibility for the brands
Qualifications
BA/BS Degree
In-depth pharmaceutical industry experience
Significant commercial insights and analytics experience
Strong track record in commercial insights and analytics
Prior consulting or agency-side experience is highly valued
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, MS, or MA in business, marketing science, or science
Successful matrix leadership and cross-functional collaboration
Scenario-based planning experience
Preference for candidates with both market research and forecasting expertise
Experience in research and analytics distillation, synthesis, and application to business issues
Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior leadership
Experience managing teams, mentoring, coaching, and fostering continuous learning
Ability to apply data and analyses to drive high-impact business decisions
Significant experience conducting qualitative and quantitative market research
Ability to synthesize diverse information sources into clear, actionable recommendations for business-unit decision-making
Deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry
Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
Ability to work effectively across a matrix and influence without formal authority
Agility, flexibility, and comfort with ambiguity
