We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Harlow, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic QTS Geography Teacher. The school is committed to delivering a broad and engaging Geography curriculum, encouraging students to explore environmental issues, global challenges and the relationships between people and places while developing valuable analytical and investigative skills.
Job Overview:
- This school caters for students aged 11-16.
- Full-time, Monday - Friday, Geography Teacher role.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students through creative and thought-provoking teaching that develops geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and an understanding of both physical and human geography.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment and positive outcomes.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.
- Promote fieldwork, map skills, data analysis and investigative learning to enhance students'' understanding of geographical concepts.

What we''re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school.
- A passion for Geography and the ability to engage, motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
