General Teaching Assistant (KS1/SEN) - Heysham Primary SchoolVeritas Education are seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Heysham on a full-time basis from September.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys supporting children across the primary age range, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).Working Hours:Monday to Friday8:30am - 3:15pmFull-timeSeptember startThe RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to support learning and development across the school, with a particular emphasis on supporting pupils with additional needs. The school would particularly welcome applicants with experience working within Key Stage 1 and supporting children with a range of SEN needs.Responsibilities will include:Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions.Assisting pupils with SEND to access learning activities.Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.Supporting children''s social, emotional and academic development.Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents where required.Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.The Ideal CandidatePrevious experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.Experience supporting children with SEN.KS1 experience would be highly desirable.A patient, adaptable and caring approach.Strong ..... full job details .....
