We are working on behalf of a leading regional care provider to appoint a
General Manager
for a large nursing care home offering general nursing and dementia care. With 100+ beds and a strong reputation for person-centred practice, this is a key leadership role with strategic, operational and financial responsibility.This appointment is being planned well in advance to ensure a smooth and supported transition into the role. The successful candidate will be a seasoned care sector leader with experience managing complex care environments and leading large, multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities and requirements
We are seeking:Proven leadership in nursing care, ideally with older people and dementia services.Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and care standards.Commercial acumen and budget management experience.Strategic and operational oversight across large-scale care settings.A collaborative and values-led leadership style.Confidence in relationship-building with families, regulators, and internal stakeholders.This role is registered with the CQC, forms part of the Senior Leadership Team within the directorate and reports to the Director of Care.
