GENERAL MANAGER THE MARKET TAP The Market Tap in Pocklington is looking for a General Manager to lead our fantastic team in running a vibrant and welcoming taproom! Job Purpose Ensure that the venue is operating effectively and efficiently, with all employees doing their required duties Key responsibilities and accountabilities Oversee resourcing Work on planning and implementing strategies to attract customers Monitor the rotas to ensure adequate resource is allocated, and where over resourced highlight with Operations Manager Overseeing the running of the shifts making sure the best quality of service is available to the customer Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives Ensure stock that is delivered is utilised following the guidance of the Operations Manager Discuss evaluation of employee performance and identify hiring and training needs Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best, coach and support the team Monitor retail operating costs, budgets and resources Support implementation of training programs and techniques to help develop the team Communicate with various areas of the business Analyse consumer behaviour and adjust product positioning Handle complaints from customers Research emerging products and use information to discuss with the Director of Bar operations and the Operation Manager.
