General Manager - Alternative Provision Location: Essex Salary: £37,000-£42,000 per annum Job Type: Full Time Permanent Start Date: September 2026 New Chapter Tuition is working exclusively with an established Alternative Provision provider to recruit an experienced General Manager for their Essex provision. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced manager with a background in education, Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH or vocational learning. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the provision, leading staff and ensuring high standards of education, safeguarding and learner support. The Role Lead the day-to-day operation and performance of the provision. Manage, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team. Oversee education delivery, learner engagement and outcomes. Maintain excellent safeguarding, compliance and health and safety standards. Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, families and external professionals. Drive continuous improvement across the provision. About You Previous experience as a Manager, Assistant Manager or established Team Leader. Experience within education, Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH or a related environment. Strong understanding of safeguarding and educational policies. Experience working with local authorities and multidisciplinary teams. Confident managing staff, performance and operational priorities.
