General Builder / Carpenter

All works based around South London and Surrey areas

We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder / Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be confident carrying out a wide range of building and carpentry work, with a good eye for detail and a professional approach to working on residential and/or commercial projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• General building and maintenance work
• First and second-fix carpentry
• Dorma installations
• Roof pitching
• Stud work, partitioning and timber framing
• Hanging doors, fitting architraves and skirting boards
• Roofing and basic repair work
• Plasterboarding and making good
• Fitting kitchens and other fixtures where required
• Carrying out repairs, alterations and refurbishments
• Reading and working from drawings where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working to a high standard of quality and health & safety

Requirements

• Previous experience as a General Builder / Carpenter
• Good practical building and carpentry skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ/City & Guilds would be advantageous but are not essential-
