Freight Forwarding Coordinator

A well-established privately owned freight forwarder based just outside of Southampton is looking to recruit a Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join their expanding team. If you are a self-motivated individual looking to progress your career in a logistics, then this could be the role for you. This would suit someone who may have a year or 2 experience in freight or maybe working within a shipping department of a manufacturer / distributorThe Role: You will be primarily coordinating air and sea shipments but will also be involved in coordinating some road shipments and even cross trade cargo movements. You will be responsible for booking shipments with carriers, hauliers and airlines, update systems and dealing with shipping paperwork.Essential Criteria:Previous experience of forwarding / shippingAttention to detailGood communication skillsAbility to problem solveAbout the Company: This company is well established and has enjoyed solid growth year on year.
