Operations Coordinator - Freight Forwarding

Do you have solid import and export freight forwarding experience? Ideally multimodal? Confident managing shipments from start to finish and ensuring maximum profitability whilst delivering excellent customer service? Our client based in Totton is looking for an experienced forwarder who is confident dealing with carriers and suppliers, negotiating rates and compiling quotations. You will be responsible for dealing with overseas agents and managing shipments throughout the process, providing exceptional customer service. Customs entry experience not necessary, as the company has their own dedicated Customs team.Essential Criteria:Previous import forwarding experienceFamiliar with shipping documentation such as Bills of LadingGood eye for detail and methodicalGood customer services skillsGood IT knowledgeAbout the Company: Our client is a well-established, innovative freight forwarder who has a good reputation within the industry and prides itself on looking after its employees and providing a good working environment .Salary and Benefits: Our client is looking to pay between £27K and £36K for the right candidate, depending on experience.
