Freelance Site Manager Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire Duration: 18 Days (Holiday Cover) Start Date: Thursday 1st October Project: It is a small scheme providing new structural support to an existing retaining wall at the Haribo Factory. We are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a specialist civil engineering and structural project in Pontefract. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme. Key Responsibilities Coordinate multiple subcontractors including piling, groundworks, steelwork and brickwork. Manage permit-to-work systems and ensure all permits are correctly administered. Review, communicate and enforce RAMS across all site activities. Monitor and update the construction programme, ensuring key milestones are achieved (Asta Powerproject experience desirable). Manage site logistics, sequencing of works and access within a constrained live environment. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues proactively. Ensure plant, lifting operations and equipment are planned and carried out safely. Manage site inductions and ensure all personnel are competent and compliant.
