Freelance Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a leading main contractor delivering a RC Frame residential new build project comprising of 1100 units looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work alongside a Commercial Manager. The scheme is at the early stages with project completion due 2028. Key Responsibilities Commercial management of the project from site through to final account. Procurement and management of subcontract packages. Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and payment applications. Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control. Management of subcontractor accounts and payments. Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities. Close collaboration with the project team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. Attendance at client and project meetings. Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction residential projects Strong knowledge of JCT contracts. Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
