FPGA Engineer12 month contractStevenage or Bristol 90 per hour UmbrellaSC clearance needed to start Our client is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to support the development of complex FPGA projects within the defence and security sector. This contract role will contribute to advanced signal processing, embedded processing, and safety- and security-critical systems across the full FPGA design and verification lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Develop complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL, Simulink and related technologiesDesign and implement solutions targeting Xilinx, Intel and Microsemi FPGA devicesVerify FPGA implementations using VHDL and SystemVerilog/UVM testbench methodologiesUse FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools, including QuestaSim and ModelSimDevelop low-level software in C to support FPGA testing and integration with wider embedded systemsConfigure and document FPGA designs to a high professional standardCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex FPGA-based projectsContribute throughout all phases of the FPGA design, verification and integration cycleJob Requirements:Significant experience in FPGA design and development within an engineering, defence or security environmentStrong VHDL language and digital design skillsCompetence in FPGA verification using VHDL and SystemVerilog methodologiesProven experience designing for Xilinx, Intel or Microsemi FPGA platformsUnderstanding of UVM testbench ..... full job details .....
