FPandA Manager (Manufacturing)

Marc Daniels is working with a growing manufacturing business to hire a FPandA Manager to design, build, and run the FPandA function from the ground up. This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional with strong manufacturing experience who wants to shape how the business plans, forecasts, and makes decisions.The roleYou will own the end-to-end setup of FPandA, creating the processes, models, and reporting that connect finance with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.Key responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing the FPandA framework: annual budget, rolling forecasts, monthly re-forecasts, and long-range planning tailored to a manufacturing environment. Building driver-based financial models for volume, mix, price, yield, scrap, labour, and overheads to support operational decision-making. Leading monthly performance reviews with site/operations leaders, explaining variances (PPV, labour, efficiency, absorption, scrap) and driving actions. Developing standard cost roll-ups, product and customer profitability analysis, and make-vs-buy / capacity scenario modelling. Creating management packs, dashboards, and KPIs that give clear visibility of plant performance, margins, and cash. Partnering with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to support pricing, investment cases (CAPEX/ROI), and productivity programmes.
