Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming school based in Greenwich, South East London.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging, practical Food Technology lessons, inspire students to develop their cooking skills and promote a strong understanding of food preparation, nutrition and kitchen safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher looking for a full-time, long-term position within a supportive school environment.

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teach practical cooking skills, food preparation techniques and nutritional knowledge.

• Ensure students understand and follow food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures.

• Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

• Prepare and organise ingredients, equipment and resources for practical lessons.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support student achievement.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.

• Previous experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition and food hygiene.

• Confidence delivering practical cooking lessons and managing a food technology classroom.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
