FLT Driver / Machine Operative

Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an FLT / Machine Operative to join a busy recycling and processing site in Norwich (NR9). This role involves operating machinery and using an FLT to remove and transport 1-ton bags once filled. This is a active hands-on position within a consistent and steady-paced working environment, offering a temp-to-perm opportunity

Location: Norwich (NR9)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 18:00
• Friday: 07:00 – 16:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move materials and finished 1-ton bags
• Monitoring the machinery to ensure smooth operation
• Handling and moving processed materials into bulk (1-ton) bags
• Removing and transporting filled bags using FLT
• Carrying out general plant and yard duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Reporting any faults or issues with machinery
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, recycling, or processing environment
• Experience working with machinery or plant equipment (preferred)
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
• Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment (PPE provided)
• Good awareness of health & safety
• Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic
