What the Flood Risk Engineer role entails:

  • Delivering flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for a range of development and infrastructure projects.
  • Executing hydrological and hydraulic modelling and interpret technical data.
  • Preparing technical reports, calculations, and flood risk documentations.
  • Supporting planning applications and liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.
  • Contributing to innovative flood mitigation and sustainable water management solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Developing your technical expertise as a Flood Risk Engineer across varied projects.

The requirements for the Flood Risk Engineer:

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling, or drainage.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard flood modelling and drainage software.
  • Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing as a Flood Risk Engineer.
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The full right to work in the UK
