As a Fixed Asset Accountant in Kent, you''ll play a key role in managing and maintaining the organisation''s fixed asset register. This temporary role in the not-for-profit sector will see you ensuring accurate records and supporting financial reporting processes. Client Details This role is with an organisation in the not-for-profit sector. Description Own the Fixed Assets Register (Keystone): Record housing property handovers, disposals and component replacements. Calculate projected final scheme costs and secure sign-off from Development Managers. Run Keystone month-end reports, prepare monthly schedules and journal entries in Open Accounts for depreciation and related transactions. Major Repairs and DLO costing: Liaise with Asset Management teams to gather repair data, scrutinise invoices, accrue or upload to Keystone, and produce reconciliations of capitalised repairs. Review K1 Construction transactions against invoices to ensure VAT-compliance. Compute cross-charges with other group entities and ensure accurate project ledger uploads to SDS Sequel. Profile A successful Fixed Asset Accountant should have: Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and related standards. A working knowledge of housing associations/construction Experience working in accounting and finance roles. A good knowledge of VAT Proficiency in using financial systems and software.
