Fixed Assets and Capital Accountant Location: Barking, East London (Hybrid)Salary: £40,182 per annum plus excellent public sector benefits and hybrid workingWorking Pattern: Full Time, Monday to FridayHybrid Working: 3 days office-based in Barking, 2 days remote Adecco are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for a Fixed Assets and Capital Accountant to join an established Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with experience in fixed assets, capital accounting and financial reporting to play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting statutory reporting requirements. The Role As Fixed Assets and Capital Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate fixed asset and leasing records, supporting capital accounting activities and contributing to the production of financial statements and year-end accounts. Key Responsibilities Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals and transfers are accurately recorded. Manage asset depreciation, impairment and other capital accounting adjustments. Maintain leasing records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards. Reconcile fixed asset records to the General Ledger and investigate variances. Monitor and report on capital expenditure and capital projects.
