Fire Risk Assessor

A specialist fire safety consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to support a growing portfolio of work across Manchester and the wider North West. The successful Fire Risk Assessor will work across residential, commercial and mixed-use properties, delivering thorough assessments and practical fire safety advice.

The appointed Fire Risk Assessor will take responsibility for carrying out detailed assessments, identifying areas of risk and helping clients maintain strong fire safety standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Completing fire risk assessments across a range of property types

• Identifying hazards, defects and areas of non-compliance

• Reviewing means of escape, fire doors, compartmentation and fire safety systems

• Producing clear reports with prioritised remedial recommendations

• Advising clients on fire safety responsibilities and required actions

• Reviewing existing fire safety documentation

• Liaising with property managers, building owners and contractors

• Managing site visits across Manchester and surrounding areas

The successful Fire Risk Assessor will ideally have:

• A recognised Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety qualification

• Previous experience delivering fire risk assessments independently

• Strong knowledge of current UK fire safety legislation and guidance

• Level 3 or 4 FRA qualification requried

• Experience across residential, commercial or complex buildings

• Good written reporting and communication skills

• Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders

• Membership of the IFE, IFSM or another relevant professional body would be advantageous

• A full UK driving licence

The Fire Risk Assessor can expect:
