Fire Engineer

A specialist fire engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their team and support projects across Yorkshire. The successful Fire Engineer will work on a wide range of residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments, providing technical fire safety input from early design through to completion.The Fire Engineer''s RoleThe appointed Fire Engineer will work closely with architects, developers, contractors and wider design teams to deliver practical and compliant fire engineering solutions.Responsibilities will include:Developing detailed fire strategies for new-build and existing propertiesReviewing architectural plans and design proposalsAdvising on means of escape, fire resistance and compartmentationProviding technical guidance in line with Building Regulations and relevant standardsSupporting projects through regulatory approvalPreparing fire engineering reports and technical documentationAttending design meetings and liaising with key project stakeholdersProviding technical support to junior team members where appropriateThe Fire EngineerThe successful Fire Engineer will ideally have:A degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related disciplineExperience working within a fire engineering or fire safety consultancyStrong knowledge of Approved Document B and relevant British StandardsExperience producing fire strategies and technical reportsGood understanding of UK fire safety legislation and regulatory requirementsStrong ..... full job details .....
