Fire Engineer

A well-established fire safety consultancy is looking to add an experienced Fire Engineer to their growing Glasgow team. The successful Fire Engineer will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments throughout Glasgow and Central Scotland.This opportunity would suit a Fire Engineer looking for greater project exposure, strong technical development and the chance to progress within a supportive consultancy environment.The Fire Engineer''s RoleThe Fire Engineer will be involved throughout the design and construction process, providing practical and technically sound fire safety advice.Typical responsibilities will include:Preparing and reviewing fire strategiesCarrying out site inspections and technical assessmentsAdvising on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistanceReviewing architectural drawings and construction informationApplying relevant UK and Scottish fire safety guidance and building standardsLiaising with architects, contractors, developers and design teamsProducing clear technical reports and recommendationsSupporting projects from early design through to completionThe Fire EngineerThe successful Fire Engineer will ideally have:A degree in Fire Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious experience within a fire engineering consultancyGood knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and Scottish Building StandardsExperience producing fire strategiesIFE membership or progress towards professional registrationStrong ..... full job details .....
