A growing and well-established fire safety consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Consultant to join their team in Glasgow.This is a strong opportunity for a Fire Consultant who wants to work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects while continuing to develop their technical knowledge and client-facing experience.The Fire Consultant''s RoleThe successful Fire Consultant will provide practical fire safety advice across projects at different stages of design, construction and occupation.Responsibilities will include:Producing and reviewing fire safety strategiesUndertaking fire risk assessments and site inspectionsAdvising on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistanceReviewing drawings, specifications and construction informationProviding advice in line with Scottish Building Standards and relevant UK fire safety guidanceLiaising with architects, contractors, developers and building ownersPreparing clear technical reports and recommendationsSupporting clients with fire safety compliance and remedial worksThe Fire ConsultantThe successful Fire Consultant will ideally have:Experience within fire safety, fire engineering or building consultancyA relevant fire safety, engineering or construction qualificationGood knowledge of current fire safety legislation and guidanceExperience carrying out fire risk assessments or fire strategy workStrong report-writing skillsConfident client-facing communicationMembership of the IFE or ..... full job details .....
