We are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Inclusion Officer to join a busy and supportive local authority team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in financial inclusion, welfare benefits, debt advice or housing support who is passionate about helping vulnerable residents improve their financial wellbeing.

## The Role

You will manage a caseload of residents experiencing financial hardship, providing practical advice, guidance and support to help them maximise income, access benefits and grants, reduce debt and sustain their housing. Working with a range of partner agencies, you will help individuals achieve long-term financial stability.

## Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of customers with complex financial needs.
  • Provide advice on welfare benefits, budgeting and financial support.
  • Support applications for hardship payments, discretionary grants and other funding.
  • Help residents maximise household income and reduce financial hardship.
  • Work closely with housing providers, debt advisers, Citizens Advice and other support organisations.
  • Complete needs assessments and develop tailored action plans.
  • Maintain accurate case records and performance information.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service while working to service targets.

## About You

We''re looking for someone with:

Experience supporting people facing financial hardship.Knowledge of welfare benefits and financial inclusion services.Experience managing a busy caseload.Excellent communication and customer service skills.The ability to build positive relationships with customers and partner organisations.Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
