Financial Controller

Robert Half is working with a well-established organisation based in North Oxford to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a busy, varied finance function within a reputable business, reporting directly into the Head of Finance.The RoleAs Financial Controller, you will oversee end-to-end finance operations, manage a small team, and play a key role in driving improvements to financial controls and processes. Core responsibilities include:Ownership of financial accounting and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRSActing as the primary point of contact for auditDelivering accurate monthly financial accounts and maintaining robust month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation routinesPreparing data for Group reporting to specified deadlines, including an annual deferred tax packPreparing and finalising statutory accounts, and Corporation tax packs for external tax advisorsEnsuring timely delivery of VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirementsManaging a team of threeOverseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll reportingMaintaining strong financial controls and compliance standardsImproving financial policies, systems, and proceduresLiaising with IT on accounting software and systems issuesAbout YouACA or ACCA qualifiedStrong working knowledge of SAPDetailed knowledge of FRS102A confident, professional communicator who can engage with ..... full job details .....
