Financial Controller Projects and Grants

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a Birmingham based charity to organisation to recruit a Financial Controller - Projects and Grants. This is a senior finance leadership opportunity with organisation-wide responsibility for the financial control, oversight and reporting of projects and grants across an international portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will provide strategic financial leadership across project and grant-related finances, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, donor compliance, effective risk management and audit readiness. Main duties include: Lead financial oversight and control across the full project and grant lifecycle. Manage the integrity and accuracy of project and grant-related general ledger activity, reconciliations and month-end/year-end processes. Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the portfolio. Ensure compliance with donor requirements, statutory obligations and internal financial policies. Oversee project and grant financial reporting, providing clear and insightful analysis to senior stakeholders. Provide financial advice and business partnering support to regional, country and programme teams. Identify and mitigate financial risks and strengthen the overall control environment.
