Financial Controller

MacKenzie King are excited to be supporting a local and growing business with the recruitment of an Interim Financial Controller for a term of 6-9 months. As an Interim Financial Controller, you will provide strategic financial leadership, robust risk management, and high-quality insight to support business growth. Reporting to the Managing Director and Board, this role plays a critical part in shaping financial strategy, driving performance, and enabling informed decision-making across the business.Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and PlanningOwnership of the annual budgeting process and rolling 12-month forecastsHigh-level cashflow modelling and liquidity forecastingTreasury management and oversight of funding positionsCompliance, Audit, and RiskLead the year-end statutory audit and manage external auditorsFull responsibility for statutory accounts and Corporation TaxOwnership and maintenance of the company Risk RegisterPayroll and Team LeadershipOversight of monthly payroll and pension complianceLeadership, mentoring, and development of the Finance teamSystems and ERP OwnershipStrategic finance lead Ensure the ERP system supports business objectives and strategic decision-makingGroup Reporting and Stakeholder ManagementPrimary Finance contact for the wider groupEnsure all group reporting and compliance submissions are accurate, timely, and completeKey Skills and Attributes:Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE Proven experience as a Financial ..... full job details .....
