Financial Accountant

We''re recruiting a Financial Accountant for a successful and growing technology-led organisation based in the Cambridge area. This is a varied, hands-on position within an established Finance team, offering exposure across financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit, tax, inventory, RandD accounting and business partnering. Working closely with the Finance Manager and colleagues across the wider business, you''ll play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while providing the insight and information used to support commercial and operational decision-making. You''ll take ownership of several key areas of the balance sheet and month-end process, including: Managing inventory and stock accounting, including provisions, stock turnover analysis and reporting Preparing inventory reporting and working closely with operational stakeholders Maintaining and reconciling capitalised RandD projects Working with project teams to assess the appropriate accounting treatment of development expenditure Taking responsibility for the fixed asset register Preparing and reviewing accruals and prepayments Owning monthly revenue and gross margin reconciliations Maintaining deferred revenue schedules Completing balance sheet reconciliations Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Finance team Statutory reporting, audit and tax Alongside your monthly responsibilities, you''ll gain broad exposure to year-end and statutory accounting, including: Supporting the ..... full job details .....
