Financial Accountant

Your new company A government organisation based in Westminster is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join on an initial 6-month contract while a permanent recruitment process is underway. The organisation works on nationally significant issues in a highly regulated sector, playing a key role in delivering public policy objectives and managing relationships across government and industry.Your new role Lead the preparation of the organisation''s interim financial statements, ensuring all reporting requirements are met accurately and to deadline.Support month-end and year-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals and review of key financial controls.Produce high-quality financial reporting and analysis, providing insight and assurance to senior stakeholders.Assist with statutory accounts preparation, audit requirements, regulatory returns and compliance activities within a complex, regulated environment.Work closely with the wider finance team to identify process improvements and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.What you''ll need to succeed Proven experience producing accounts under IFRS or FReMPrevious experience in a government organisation is highly desirableA full accountancy qualification is essential (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, CIPFA or equivalent) What you''ll get in return 58,500 salary pro rata for 6 month FTCHybrid working: 2 days/week in office, 3 days from homeFlexible ..... full job details .....
